A useful tip for game move entry and playback

The highlighter feature of Window 7’s Snipping Tool is useful when entering or playing back the moves of a game from a scanned newspaper article. The usual trouble is keeping track of what move you’re on, since you must take your eyes off the score as you enter the moves into another appliciation.

That usually means I have to look at SCID’s display of the move number and rescan the newspaper article display in my browser. But then I got the idea of using a snipped image with a highlighter – which makes keeping track of where I am trivia. Just have to update the highlight every five moves or so.

The old cliche is “a picture is worth a thousand words”, so…
