The above is the published xtab from WSZ. It can be compared to this version using the download above and SCID:

Unless I’m mistaken, they match up perfectly. The table above had to be hand edited though, just swapping a few rows and columns, to align the tied scores. The WSZ table does the sensible thing – ordering tied players alphabetically. However, neither SCID nor CB seem to allow this obvious sorting for ties. Unfortunate. Note I also changed the national affiliations of several players (e.g. Kmoch, Tartakower) to match their associations at the time.

(BTW- Note the * in the <Takacs–Gruenfeld A00 0 (R12) 0-1> game. It denotes a forfeit by Takacs.)

Here are the tables, using default presentation, by both Chessbase Light 2009:
CB - RR xtab

And by SCID :

SCID - RR xtab

And since all the games have the presumably correction round (and dates), a good Swiss xtab can be shown.

SCID - Swiss xtab

The dates were assigned via this table (extrapolated from available info in WSZ and newspapers – it matches the same schedule as used in Vienna (1923), i.e. Sat / Sun and Wed as rest days.

RD = { 1 : "02.24",
       2 : "02.27",
       3 : "02.28",
       4 : "03.01",
       5 : "03.02",
       6 : "03.05",
       7 : "03.06",
       8 : "03.08",
       9 : "03.09",
      10 : "03.12",
      11 : "03.13",
      12 : "03.15",
      13 : "03.16" }

There’s really not too much more to add, though I will try to sketch out an intro for the tournament in a later post.

<CG> should download the tournament using the above link, and create a tournament from there.
