Vienna (1882) – CG vs 365

PGN download: Vienna (1882).pgn

Or should that be Chessgames vs The World?

Again, I start by comparing two versions of a tournament, one from <CG>, the other from <365chess>. Specifically, <Vienna (1882)>. Ignoring for the moment missing games, the following is a comparison of games which both have, but which have different movelists.

When a discrepancy is found, an attempt to locate the game in the original, contemporaneous literature is made to determine who is “right. Additionally, both the <CB> and <NIC> online databases are consulted, in order to gain insight into reliability and commonality of the World’s leading database sources.
